As www.travelingmarinebiologist.com continues to get updated, several questions have been emailed to me and a few of you have inquired to describe the set-up of the website a bit more. Most of you are aware that I travel and work a lot, the previous projects that I have worked on the ships have not had a stable internet connection. Therefore, uploading photographs, travel stories, and videos have been unfortunately, impossible.

Here are the answers below:

1) My previous countries that I have traveled to – Though I have now been to 60 countries, I will continue to travel to new countries with my career as a Marine Mammal Scientist. These countries will be located on the website in “Best Travels” and within the left hand list of alphabetized countries. It is important to note that “Best Travels” are not included in “The Voyage of Discovery.” Now trying to write about ALL 60 countries has been difficult since I tend to travel more than have the time to upload photographs, videos, and travel stories. However, the section “Best Travels” will be updated at a timely manner – I appreciate your patience as I get this caught up!

2) Destinations that will cover “The Voyage of Discovery” – The voyage will be broken down into 7 phases: Phase 1: North America, Phase 2: South America, Phase 3: Antarctica, Phase 4: Africa, Phase 5: Europe, Phase 6: Asia, and Phase 7: Australia. There will be anywhere between 1-5 Parts to each Phase, depends on how long it takes me to drive and/or trek ALL of the continent! Oakley aka my Jeep Wrangler will only drive to 150+ countries, and I plan on trekking to all 207 countries. Oakley will be shown quite frequently throughout my posts and videos.

3) Purpose of “The Voyage of Discovery” – I thought to myself how can I mix the 3 elements that I am passionate about: Adrenaline, Conservation, and Education into one goal over a period of time? I could not have thought of a better way to portray these in a world trip, such as this one. In every country, I will post each of these elements on the website, my facebook, and International Travelingmarinebiologist facebook fan page, and youtube travel channel (Travelingmarinebiologist). I am working on getting a few other apps together, such as Instagram, Twitter, etc..

4) Who is joining me – The basis of why I have created “The Voyage of Discovery” is to demonstrate an unique opportunity to travel around the world in Oakley, have my videographer brother, Josh, come with me on this adventure to explore every nook and cranny that this Earth has to offer, indulge in various cultures across the globe, and with every chance I get document these experiences, and bring them ALL to YOU! We will have plenty of room in the Jeep if anyone wants to tag along!

5) Where does “The Voyage of Discovery” start – The first phase and the one that I am focusing on now is North America: Part 1. During Phase 1: Part 1, I spent Halloween weekend with Martin, Josh, and 7 others getting chased by zombies, blood suckers, clowns, and any other “thing” that felt the need to give me a rush screaming my head off as I ran down Universal Studio’s crowded streets.

Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival was a delicious time portraying a fraction of the world’s sweets, savory foods, and international beers and wines. I then made my way to drive to the southern tip of Florida – the Keys! This was just the first 3 days out of the 14 days that I will be road tripping around Florida! Without spoiling all of the surprises this will be posted, let’s just say that loads of adrenaline activities, education, and conservation projects are on its way!

The website will be current with “The Voyage of Discovery” in February 2015; however, “Best Travels,” “My Offshore Lifestyle,” and “Bucket List” will continually be updated.
